What blood tests should a man get for erectile dysfunction?

Short answer: A basic erectile-dysfunction work-up commonly includes early-morning total testosterone, fasting glucose or HbA1c, and a lipid profile. Why ED testing goes beyond testosterone

Erectile function depends on coordinated blood flow, nerve signalling, hormones, medication effects and psychological wellbeing. Low testosterone can contribute in some men, but a normal testosterone value does not rule out vascular, metabolic, neurological, medication-related or psychosexual causes.
